I always hit the south part of the lake for sandies and hybrid.
Head to the area south of Oakland Park and look for birds -if birds are feeding, there will be fish usually biting
If birds are not present, head to the area east of the golf course, north of the south-west end of the dam. -if birds are feeding, there will be fish usually biting
if birds are not present there, head to the first cut along the shore as you head east along the dam. Fish right next to the bouey (sp?).
If you don't pull fish out of either of those three areas, its just a bad day in my opinion.
I always use 3/4-1oz TNT slabs with a fly tied ~18" above it. makes for some great fishing.
Good luck, and let us know how you do.
