True. Future Bass will be there. Possibly up to 100 boats. Then again, Texoma is 89,000 acres and I think it can handle a few extra boats. Honestly, I would re-schedule, but that weekend is the only one I'm off work for both days. Sure I would like to have the lake to myself, but even if there were 1,000 boats on the lake, each of them would have 89 acres apiece. Trailering will be allowed. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

There are NO MEMBERSHIP DUES. NO HIDDEN COSTS/FEES. Show up and fish! The $200 per boat entry fee is the only cost. 100% Payout after weigh-in on day 2. You may fish with a partner or fish alone. I really hope you can make it! Thanks.

I plan on being there. The lake is plenty big for all of us. So will there be an a place we can pay entry fees earlier then the morning so we can go ahead and launch early when all the future bass boats will be putting in?

Q-All,
I'll be working on the early payment option and will get back to you. I think future bass allows hole sitting as early as 4 am, but the one tournament I fished with them ( a buddy needed a sub.), they all launched by number. At any rate, the conditions will be the same for everyone in my tournament, regardless of my decision. I WILL post an answer after I get some phone calls made. Thanks.

Here's the best option I can think of for early payment. Mail your $200 entry fee (personal check) to:
Basskwondo Custom Bass Jigs c/o Ben Merritt 808 E. Midway Waurika, OK 73573
Checks in the amount of $200 must be received by Sept. 1, 2010. Make checks payable to Ben Merritt. This amount is non-refundable and will be added to the 100% Payout whether you are able to compete or not. If for some reason, you are unable to make it on Saturday, you can still win by having an amazing stringer on Sunday. You may have a flat tire, oversleep, etc. and still salvage the rest of the day providing you make it to weigh-in on time. (IT IS A GOOD IDEA to put your phone number on your check. That way I can reach you if for some strange reason it does not clear. If it does not clear, you cannot compete unless you pay at the ramp on Saturday.)
I will also need your name and the name of your partner so there is no doubt who has paid.
I will mail you a business card with my signature on it. (Be sure your return address is on the envelope.)You will need this card to weigh-in, so don't lose it. If your card is lost, call me at 580-704-6488 and you can pick up a replacement at Catfish Bay before the tournament begins.
Weigh-in will be at 3pm sharp. Your stringer will be penalized one pound for every minute you are late up to 15 minutes. After 3:15 pm, you will not be allowed to weigh for the current day.
Official time will be kept by my cell phone. Yours will likely be the same.
Launch may occur at any time, but official "allowed to make first cast time" will be 6:00 a.m.
Launch will be held the same for both days. If you have paid early and received your business card, you will not need to check in at the ramp before Launch on Saturday. There is no need to check in at the ramp on Sunday before Launch, unless you missed out on Saturday.
Feel free to post any more questions or call me (Ben) at 580-704-6488.
You are trusting me with your entry fee and I am trusting everyone to compete with all honesty and sportsmanship. Thanks.

I haven't received any early entries, yet. Maybe it's still too early. I hope to have a decent showing, but then, there are a bunch of events going on that weekend. If there aren't very many boats that show, we can discuss tournament format and payout options as a group. I hope you can make it. I will keep trying to promote this event on the web. Thanks.

Just a quick bump. I will be away from my computer Thursday through Saturday (Aug. 2-4). Should you have any questions or need more info, give me a call at 580-704-6488. Thanks. I'm not sure how many boats we will draw in, but this is going to be a great time for all. I plan to give away a bunch of FREE tackle to the participants. Hope to see you there!
