To Guys who know this question,
Got a new HB ducer from HB and would like to install myself that way I know it will not have air bubbles. They HB sent me a new ducer and is non directional in hull ducer with epoxy for the job.
My question is..........can I just leave the old ducer installed in the hull and simply disconnect the cable from the control head? Do not want to remove the old ducer since I bet it will be one major job and getting down to it would be like being a snake going into a hole. I am just wondering if the new ducer would have interference from the old ducer even tho it is not connect to anything in the hull. Sure hope you can give me advice regarding the installation of the new ducer that came with the cable water temp. probe connected to the ducer.
Thanks for the advice and hope I am going to see light at the end of the tunnel with my HB.
Your help will be really appreicated,
Brian hooked

It should be fine as long as the old transducer is disconnected.

+1 as long as it is not hooked up you shouldn't have any interference or anything.

The only reason to remove it is if you have limited space to install replacement transducers.

Real trucks don't need spark plugs.
