Cedar Creek is a 32,623 acre lake of natural blue cat breeding grounds. The lake has never been stocked with blues. Myself and several others have fished it hard and heavy for the past twenty-four years. I am in very close contact with Dr. Richard Ott of TPWD and from there records the population of blues has continued steady or increase yearly. I release all large blues of 10# or better to spawn and repopulate this wonderful lake. If a population decline is ever encountered I feel TPWD will reduce the bag limit. I consider myself a very conservation minded catfisherman.
I believe most guides on area lakes are taking blues at a rate similar to mine in most local lakes. I don't think RC, CC, Tawakoni, Lavon, Palestine or Lewisville are suffering a blue cat shortage.

very well stated mr. kennedy, as a matter of fact, i have seen reports that suggest that some of the mentioned water bodies may be over-populated in the blue and channel cat area! i also may add calaveras to that list!
