Welcome to the first annual Friends of Inks Lake State Park Kayak Fishing Challenge and Demo Day. Bring the whole family. This will be a chance to visit one of the top 2 State Parks in Texas. Due to the fact that this is our first Kayak Fishing event, we will be open to all suggestions. What would you like to see? How would you like to participate? Join in the fun! Get out your fishing gear. Load your Kayak (or canoe). This event is for YOU! If you are new to the sport, we plan on having several local Kayak dealers set up with their gear. If you are an expert or would like to help promote the sport of Kayak fishing, please volunteer to help with this event. Entry Fee to the park is $5.00 per person or free with your Texas State Park Pass (A Great Value) The entry fee and prizes for the Fishing Challenge with be determined by your input. Help The Friends of Inks Lake State Park make this a successful event.

Friends of Inks Lake (FOIL) is a non profit that supports educational activities at Inks Lake State Park. FOIL's mission is to help fund activities that support the State Park's educational programs. Some of the activities include kid's angler education, nature hikes and bird watching. Some of our activities are designed just to get people out of the city and into the parks. A greater appreciation for our parks is only realized once experience first hand. FOIL strives to help educate the pubic about the importance of one of our greatest natural resources, our State Parks. Help us ensure that future generations can experience the wonder and beauty of our Texas State Parks. Please join us at one of our many events. Bring the entire family.
