Has anyone been to Baffin Bay, lately? With the holiday's and a stressful economy I haven't been able to get down to my favorite fishing area. I was wondering if the Sows have started spanking the top water? I'm heading down this weekend and would like some help on their whereabouts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I always use

http://www.saltyangler.com/corpus.htm

it's the Website for the "Saltwater Angler" magazine that you find all along the coast. Always found their information "on the money" but during the winter months they only update once/month and the most recent issue was 1-15... lotsa weather changes since then

I tried to be normal but it got boring so it's just back to being ME~

No they are not hitting the topwater very good just yet. Corkys and plastics are your best baits for now, but i still have to throw the topwater anyway.

Went to the Landcut last Tuesday and Wednesday.
No live bait anywhere so settled for frozen shrimp.
Very few boats out and the fog was terrible both days until almost noon.

Tides were lower and there was not much bait working.
Caught decent school trout to 19" under the lights on holographic swim baits.
Fish were fairly picky and were only mildly interested in Gulp Penny Shrimp or mirror lures or anything else.
No red or drum.
Ended up with (41) keepers.
