 Catfishing from the bank (1st post)

This year I'd like to center my fishing on catfish. I don't have a boat and know only a little about catfishing.
I got a link to "100 Top Catfishing Sites" and will be joining some of those forums so I can learn more about catfishing from the bank.
Hope y'all don't mind my stupid questions and catfishing ignorance when you see my posts.

Usually within 100 mi of Austin. But I'm not opposed to renting a car and exploring any bank in Texas.

Last year I didn't focus on any certain species. Just anything that would bite.

What lakes are you going to fish in the area I might be able to help you out with a few hints! I live in the austin area and fish several lakes and rivers here just send me a pm if you need anything. Take a look at the rough fish section, any of the lake travis post, and you can see some of the fish that i have been catching and there are a few pics of some cats as well.
