Having problems and hopefully someone can help. Boat runs fine and cranks right up at ramp. Once it's warm and has been running for a bit, at low speed only, it will load up and just die. Once I try to restart it, no fire at the switch but I can hear relays clicking inside the motor cowling. I can turn the key all I want but not even a cranking sound. Nothing! Once the boat motor cools, it will start right back up like nothing was ever wrong. Any suggestions? My boat mechanic is on vacation.

Temp related normally points to a connection problem. and with it dieing sounds like motor - ground on the starter connection or the + battery connection at the solenoid or connections at the battery because the ECU has to have 12v and its power connection is at the solenoid too. Reason solenoid is clicking is the power source is different for ignition switch, through the neutral safty switch and to the solenoid. Straight from the battery. I would first clean up the battery connections.

If it cranks when cold but not when hot, I would check the starter.
