Attend CAT's August 4th meeting to learn more from Roger Putman on how and where to fish Lake Fork. Special Announcement: Fishing instructor, crappie educator and a CAT founding father, Ernest Paty of CatchCrappie.com will conduct an informative seminar on SONAR. Have you ever wondered what in the world it is you are looking at? How come I can't find that brushpile? Then you don't want to miss this!

Visit Crappie Anglers of Texas (CAT) for meeting location and times.
Tournament rules and entry forms: Rules and Entry Forms (carefully read lake off-limit rule)

Weigh-in driving information: The weigh-in will be held at The Minnow Bucket Marina, located 6 miles Northwest of Quitman on Hwy 154 on the left before the bridge. Visit their website for more information.

For more information send an email to cat@crappieclub.org.

See you there!

Note: CAT tournaments are averaging over 45 boats per tournaments. Come out and fish Lake Fork to qualify for the Texas State Crappie Championship (TSCC) being held on Richland Chambers in October.

This lake will contend with any other, and will probably be in the upper average as weight is concerned for the time of year. Give it a chance as many of us know it has its up's and downs as any body of water. But really appreciate the club considering Fork this year. Looking forward to a great tourny!I will try to make the meeting because I need all the pointers avaialble. Thanks Ernest for breaking out the secrets.

Thanks Jimmy and all the BOD for your efforts, see ya there!

Dont worry even though it will be august if the lake is having a good day it will take eleven pounds + to win if not so good of a day it will take nine. Either way should catch fish everywhere from bridges[witch might win it]to brush to deep timber who knows see you guys there.

Kidcrappie and Spags are goingto try to be there. Probably wont even pre fish. Just going to "wing it" which is crazy considering I dont even know where Fork is.

Kidcrappie is coming along with me for some scouting next Sat. He will be sworn to secrecy. Only thing he'll learn from me is where not to go. hammer
We would be there today but we didn't need to be on an unfamiliar lake in bad weather. Safety First on my boat.

OK, Fork should be swarming with CATs tomorrow.
Mike and I are taking both boats and we're going scouting.
I'm bringing along a bonafide crappie detector, Anthony-Kid Krappie Himself. You can keep the HD or SI units.

Today was TOUGH on Fork. Mack and I had a rough time finding the crappie. We fished brush, timber, bridges you name it for 7 hours and only had one crappie and a perch to show for it. It was great to be on the water though. Thanks Mack for the trip.

We caught 2 crappie all day long, both on jigs.
Both were keepers with the largest being a black crappie at
1.7 lbs. the other was a tad over a pound. We noticed they had all 5 gates open today, I think that played into the poor fishing not to mention the full moon
