The DFW Bassmasters (a TBF Federation Bass Club) will be having our 3rd Annual Kids Fishing Tournament at Joe Pool on May 16th from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. This will be a big fish tournament. The scales will open 15 minutes before each hour. Example 7:45 to 8:00, 8:45 to 9:00.
The final hour will be 12:45 to 1:00
There will also be a Reel Kids Casting Competition.
We will use the same stage as the Optimist Club's Big Bass Bonanza so parents come on out and fish the Big Bass Bonanza and bring your kids ages 15 and under with you.

I see a form for the BBB but how do I register my son for the youth tournament?

We will be registering the youth for the Kids Tourn and adults for the Big Bass Bonanza on Friday night and Saturday morning before 7 am at Lynn Creek Park.
We will also have the registrations for the Reel Kids Casting Competition at that time and again at noon on Saturday.

But I will try to post the entry forms ahead of time as well.

Just when you show up for the BBB make sure you sign your kid up. We will just keep a roster sheet with name and age only.

Should be a good time for the kids.

Make sure the Kids sign up for the Casting Competition which starts at 1:00 pm on saturday

Fishing will be allowed from the bank and they will be taking entrants up until 10 am.

We had 18 entrants today in the rain. Those who did come out today really enjoyed a good bite as about 12 or 14 of the kids did weigh in and some weighed in up to 4 times during the 5 hours. 0.97 lbs wins big fish. The casting competition was also held at 1:00 and was very sucessful. I will post the names and finals tomorrow. I was expecting to have 30 to 40 kids, but the weather held them back so everyone pretty much doubled up on their door prizes which included gift cards from Dick's Sporting Goods, Academy, Bass Pro Shops, tickets to both Zoos, passes to NRH2O, free passes to ride go carts and miniature golf at Mountasia, Cabelas, plus about 8 rod/reel combos donated by Berkley.
