Hi everyone i havent posted here before or on the normal hunting forum. but i have been following it.
I am new to texas just these past few months(moved from michigan). i LOVE to hunt. the problem is i only have one contact which is a small 8 acre plot with over active neighbors who love to make my hunting time as worthless as possible (shooting all day, riding dirt bikes all day and the most recent stealing my tree stands and destroying my feeder). needless to say i cant get any hunting done there. I know im running out of time and i wanted to get some descent hunting in of some sort..

anyways im looking for a place to hunt anywhere really.(even if its only 1-2 days) or any ideas. im willing to travel to hunt ill hunt by the land owners rules of course. im respectful, i can deal with restrictions, ill share the meat, i open to anything. I JUST WANT TO HUNT!! im sure you all understand.

if you have any info/ideas contact me at stroked_stang@hotmail.com

or of course post here and ill see it.

by the way i should introduce myself. Im andrew! new from michigan. love it down here. looking forward to getting to know you all

Where are you at? Several local Army Corps lakes have hunting areas. Plus you can camp and fish there.

Welcome to the THF/TFF..look into the type II license, lots of public still out there. Start surfing the TPWD for information on this type of hunting..

Good luck

im close to huntsville. I have tried to check out the Sam Houston forest area.. i talked to a few hunters as they were getting back into their vehicles. said during "general season" (gun) its a scary place to be. although im not sure if it was just talk to keep their hunting pressure down or what. but where would i be able to find/locate these areas? im certainly willing to check it out.

thanks for the info

-andrew
