On Monday, October 20, a tournament is being run out of Highport Marina that is benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Denison.

The official website is www.TexomaStriperChallenge.com

While all the info you need to know is located within their website, here's some main points:

* 8 area guides have committed to fish the tourney so far
* Check-in and breakfast are at 6 am
* Tourney hours are 7 am to 12 noon
* Weigh-in, Lunch, and Prizes are at 12 noon
* Entry fees are $300 per non-guide boat and up to 4 fishermen
* Entry fees are $500 per guide boat with up to 4 fishermen

The prizes are based on a heaviest 5 striper weight. I presume that 2 can be overs, and 3 box fish will be weighed. For those of you who have fished the TSA, this is not in line with those rules, which is fine...

In fact, all of the rules, entry forms, etc. are posted at the site.

Here's some prize info:

1st Place: $600 in gift certificates (4@$150)
2nd Place: $500 in gift certificates (4@$125)
3rd Place: $400 in gift certificates (4@$100)

Additionally, there's a Big Fish Pot for $10 per person with a 50% split between the winner and the Boys & Girls Club of Denison.

All of this and more is published on the official website.

I would love to fish it and rep the Geezer Guys, but will be leaving mid-week for business to TOPEKA, KS, of all places, and unable to go.

I am not affiliated with this group, but rather, posting it by request since I've run tourneys with TSA and 60G a number of times on Texoma.

Results are now posted. An unguided team took the top spot with twice the weight of the next team.

Second and third were guided teams.

Man I saw 33lbs and thought that was AWSOME then you see it was a 5 fish weigh in--still not bad. 10lb biggest fish.

Tommy paid the entire entry fee for our team. clap The best part is he ended up catching the two biggest fish. (10 & 8) banana That's the way it should be. thumb

Thanks to all the people who worked hard to make the tournament a success. cheers
