Man I wish this was on a better catfish lake. I like Fork for bass and crappie, but it aint much for big blues. A flathead will most likely win this one Im guessing. Wish some tournaments around here had payoffs like that though. That is nice. Not so much on the 2 rod limit though...ouch. Still might try and get out and fish it if I can.

Individual, boat or bank, and a yellow cat has won once overall.
Twenty pounds was broke for the first time last year.
We wacked the blues, just not the right ones. First year 4.5 pounder was money in the bank, last year, you got bumped with a 4.5.

We have been fishing the Splash since it started at Fork, we have won money w/ Channels but have never caught a blue there nor have we seen a Blue weighted in. So if you are onto blues at Lake Fork, you are leaps and bounds ahead of all the people we know that fish the Splash at Fork.
I hear people swear that they catch Blues at Fork but would love to see someone weight one in. The ones that come to the weight-in that people claim are Blues that I have seen have always been the Male Channels that are blue colored w/ the big heads. I actually weighted in a 6 lb male channel w/ a big head and the people at the weight-in were calling it a "Blue Cat', but it wasn't a blue.

I accidentialy won a boat at this tournament two years ago with a 8.6# channel cat, i'll be back to fish this year. If you're thinking your NOT going to fish becaue you CANT win...fish it, your chances are good that you will place in the money. C-Ya there!

Not the biggest payout in catfish history. Last the 07 or 06 ACATS classic had a $100,000 payout.

According to the Texas Parks and wildlife the lake record Blue is a 71 pounder, so there must be some decents size ones swimming around in there somewhere..

Will be there with a pole in each hand. I also will have the pleasure of fishing with my 13 yr old daughter. Took her catfishing once and she caught more and bigger. If I zero maybe she'll win enough to pay for the trip. It's great that she wants to go because her life is sooooo busy with lots of other stuff (school, cheerleading. softball, basket ball, and of course those nasty ole BOYS)and she is going to go with me to actually spend some time with me. Just having her there with me makes me a winner!
