Fished Lewisville on Monday, a friend came into town and wanted to get out and just wet a line. A lot of small fish, but not many keepers. We didn't get on the water until about 9:15, but we caught fish everywhere we went and on every presentation we tried. I do not know how many 6 to 10" fish we caught, but a LOT of them. Had 2 keepers that were healthy. Heck, ALL of the fish were healthy, including the 3" bass I caught on a 3/8 oz. Yellow Magic. I had a special trailer hook on and he thought that the small red tinsel must have been a worm and bit the hook. LOL. Caught several small bluegill, too. Presentations that worked: spinnerbaits, topwater (prop baits and YM's), crankbaits, soft plastics (3 ways presented) and jigs. The 3 keepers came on C-rigged soft plastics and 2 CB's. The best producing CB's were Stanford Cedar Shad SSS and SMS in grey ghost colors. Any color of soft plastic worked. I didn't set the hook on one CB fish and it was a keeper, about the same as the other 2, 14.5" long and almost 2 lbs.

Wish I could tell you more, but we were fun fishing and got off the lake about 2:45. The creeks were more stained and the main lake was more clear.

Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Dude, every single person has the same fishing report. Myself included. I was told by a couple of guides that you gotta get outa the flooded stuff and fish main lake points in 10-20 ft of water. the bigger ones will be there. C-rigs, Drop shots, etc, etc. Those little ones are kinda fun though huh?!?!
