You fished in the wrong place or the wrong way. Everyone I know, that fishes that lake, has been catching fish. Try the west side, in 20-25 foot of water, submerged brush, and standing timber, start 15ft and work down from there.

The fish are there. They very well may be deep. The water being released has an effect, but the fish will bite. Or, you could go out with Jerry Hancock and let him put you on the fish. That is a sure way to learn.

Last week we were catching fish on timber, brushpiles and submerged timber in 18-30' water. No problems finding fish if you could stay on the brush. White/chartruse jigs or minnows produced about the same. With the gates open, things will slow down but you can still catch a few fish if you can get out of the current.

Gates are closed as of a few minutes ago.. Not sure for how long. I figure until Hubbard purges some water.
