The Calaveras Spring Get-together will be April 21st, 2007 at the Calaveras Cove. I have prepared a website for signing up and keeping up-to-date information about the event at:

Webpage updated 4/18/07
http://texasalien.com/April2007GTG/index.htm

Please bookmark this site and make out the Registration Form to confirm your attendance, tournament entry, and what you might bring to share. If you want to update your entry, just make out another form and I will keep up with your entry. I have taken all the information from the previous TFF thread and tried to post what I thought you said. Whether or not is correct, I would appreciate your entry form confirming my guesses and knowing your real names.

Suggestions on what to bring to share: Casseroles, beans, cornbread, desserts, condiments and games for the kids. Check on the website often to see what we might need.

Regarding T-Shirts: After discussing the matter with Michael, neither one of us wants to take on the commitment of fronting for the shirts, collecting sizes and collecting in arrears. If someone else is interested in taking on this task, please step forward and volunteer.

Tournament: If anyone wants to volunteer to stay on the bank and supervise the tourney (collecting the $$$, weighing in the fish, and determining the winners), it would be a help.

This is going to be a lot of fun. You guys are the greatest!

Every thing is looking good Don.
Looks like we're a little more organized than last time. If things go good with this one, we may just have to start making this a regular thing.
Good job, Thanks everyone for your help we make a good Team!!

Michael

I can bring a tank of propane if someone else has a cooker they can bring. I really think we need to have two cookers going. If you remember, it took a bit of time last year because I cooked my stuff first and then the fish. Just let me know.

Michael,
Are you going to camp out Friday, 20th? If so, and you don't mind, Can I park there again and crash for the night in my truck? I promise to provide somemore liquid refreshment for you and your better half.

See ya on the waters,

I'm not sure yet Mike. I've been booking a lot of trips to Choke over the last few days. It will just depend on what's going on.

At the risk of stifling dialogue, I think it would be a good idea to keep the posts on this thread few and far between so that the lead message will be prominent. Unless very important, let's keep most of the communication by PM (Private Messages) under "My Stuff" at the top. I will keep the website updated as I receive PM's and form data and post on this thread to show updates and changes.

Thank you...

Don,
Maybe you should talk to a Mod. about making a locked Stickey that stays at the top for awhile.

I will take on the T-Shirts if ya'll are still interested. Send me the design, and I'll get a price quote. Also, I am bringing 1 of the 2 cookers. It is electric so don't worry about the propane.

I posted some ballpark #'s on t-shirts on the other thread. That's my business, so let me know if I can help. We are gonna try and make the trip.

Well, I thought I had submitted my registration form but I don't see my name on the list yet. If you haven't received it, let me know and I will re-submit (I really don't want to miss this!!!).
Since I haven't gotten the line wet in awhile, do you have a category for best effort with lightest stringer? (I kid, I kid!) I thought I would make fun of myself to prime you guys for the day of the tourney.
Steven

Gentlemen,
I'm unfortunately currently out of the country and unable to attend. I wasn't able to attend last years either but was able to bring by some tater salad. Please leave some kittys for me when I return.

Okay, gents...maybe I had missed the post, but will t-shirts be made available? Do we need to preorder based on size? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Steven

WATCH OUT!! UPS just dropped off a gallon of Danny King's!! I opened up the tub to get a whiff, and my wife said put that %&$^ in the garage, followed by; me, that tub, and my Catahoula could move in the backyard (long story about the dog--she smells worse than the Danny King's). Anyway, me, Goose, and Rainman are going down sometime on Friday and camping till Sunday. I ain't sure where we'll be, but it will be near the ramp. If any of ya'll are camping, set up next to us. We plan on fishing off and on, day and night. We don't get too wild, but have a heck of a time. Look for a tent, a silver Chevy/Red Ranger boat, and there will be an American Flag somewhere in the vecinity. Gettin' excited and can't wait!!

Saturday will be here before you know it. I have updated the website to help you remember what you signed up for. If it is not correct, let me know.

At this moment, it looks like we are approaching 60 people in attendance, with about 30 fishing. We are especially counting on the cookers and fuel to be set up around 12:30 P.M. I have all the utensils, plates/bowls, serving pans, tin foil and paper towels. I will also bring some extra gallon-sized plastic bags so that people can take home the left overs. You need to provide your own coolers and ice.

We will also have a bar-b-Q grill going. Michael (Southern Boy is bringing his bread delights; Is anyone up to bringing some hush puppies?

Weather on Saturday appears to be a little questionable in the morning...perhaps drizzly with winds picking up from the S-SE at 10-25 mph during the day.

Everyone should have your licenses, tags, and boat gear up-to-date. Start fishing at Day Break and be in by 12:00P. If you catch any kitties over 10 pounds, please try to keep it (them) alive for CPR (Catch-Photo-Release) after the weigh-in. Remember, we are on the honor system (see "Gentlemen's Rules") on the website below. Please bring "clean" fish to the cookers. We will eat from about 1:00P to 3:00P. It's gonna be great!

If you signed up for a T-Shirt, Please bring your money. Jd and Brad are going out on a limb fronting these. Thanks to them. And thanks to Marty for providing our first Tourney Trophies.

Let me know if I am forgetting anything. Oh, yes, Bring your digital cameras so we can post our party!
