I’d answer you beartrap if I knew what you what you just posted. You’re either drunk or speaking another language😁 I only know of a cane pole and 100 lb mono in that post bolt

A sculling paddle is a means of propelling the boat; Google "sculling". Nip I Diddee was an early wooden slush bait. I think Heddon or South Bend marketed it.

you wrapped that 100lb mono around the pole starting at the bottom, tied several half hitches at the top and had about a foot of line on end of pole...tie on an Injured minnow or nip I didee...flipping hadn't been invented yet and only way to get up under those over hanging cypress trees was to shove that bait under there and do a figure 8 pattern....a bass either had to eat the bait or leave....it provoked some of damndest topwater strikes you will ever experience.....and....I've had them turn the boat around 2-3 times fighing against the bend in the pole....if you let them run straight away,a big bass would straigten out those cheap aluminum hooks top water baits had back then...

I used cigarette buts as weight stops when catfishing.

C'mon Coach, doodlesocking is an old term for shallow vertical fish in heavy cover.

That whole story is as redneck as you can get😁😁

So I was doodlesocking in my story?

Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right

If you've had to hang ape over the side of the boat to relieve the nights before dinner.

If you carried a plastic bag fishing and picked up cans to sell for minnows!

Keep your minnows in the toilet tank, and whizz off the front porch so you won't flush them away.

When I was in college, I used to fish in my roommate's aquarium, he had an Oscar fish that weighed 3/4 lb. and some other fish in it.

I grew up on a farm in southern Illinois. Had a small creek going through the property. Used to cut tree limbs tie some line and a hook baited with a worm that we dug off the creekbank. Good times.
