Pretty sure the trax is made in korea, lots of Japanese cars are made in America.

Their made in both South Korea and Mexico. First digit or digits of the VIN will tell you. 1,4, and 5 is made in US. 2 is Canada. 3 is Mexico. K is Korea.

I’m all about American brands, but this vehicle just looks cheap to me. A used low mileage Honda accord with a v6, change the oil every 4-5k miles and transmission fluid every 20-30k. As long as the timing belt gets replaced not a mile over 100k, that thing will last forever.

We went for a test drive in a white Chevy Trax Activ. Nice car. I sat in the back. Good legroom and headroom. Back seats lay down. Cockpit is nice with easy access and easy to read displays. Leather seats front and back. Safety stuff. Heated everything. She took it out on the highway and had to test the brakes and acceleration because it was 5:30 and the drivers around here are like everywhere that has a refinery or two. No offense intended. Just drive like hell and you'll be fine. She likes it.

Yes. LIttle 3 banger with turbo. With three adults in it, it took off just fine.

Well it's a done deal. She's going with the Trax. I left her at the dealer, and she is doing the rest on her own and will drive it to her abode in Rockport. That's her first new car purchase solely in her name. She's 27. It was a lot later than that when I got my first new one. I could wrench on them. Still do to some extent. She can put gas in and air up the tires. And that's OK as far as I'm concerned.

Nice thing about a Trax is you can get to the oil filter and drain plug without removing any panels.

Can you sleep in the back? Apparently that is important to some folks.
