Leave the fishing gear behind , take snorkel gear. Lots of good snorkeling available from shore. I was there 30 years ago , back then there were beaches where tourist were not welcome , and they would let you know real quick to move down the road. We decided to take the loop around the island , opposite of the " Road to Hana " Neat drive but , Lots of bad road, found out later the rental car companies would not come help you if you broke down, We were down to nothing on gas when we finally got back to the hotel zone.
have fun

Fishing is really good there. I tried a year ago but did so so. The ticket is Carolina Riggs with 3 inch flukes . Variety of colors. Bring the hooks the weights and the lures with you. Everything there is $1 million. Plenty of friendly locals will give advice. I usually just hang out next to them and slowly start asking a few questions. No intimidation and they get used to you. If they donโt seem to answer questions, move off to the next area with new guys. Usually just a few feet down either Direction ๐ค give us a report.
