Naw seriously this was late October. But, I've become a good pool cover slider since then.

Man o man, I used to be into the RC car world very heavy back in the late 90's. Girlfriend and I were part of a club racing road cars in parking lots. The GF and I were planning on running an AWD Impact Serpent 2 speed across the USA at one time. We were going to set up in the back of my truck and take turns driving. Those were some baaaaaaad motor scooters back then.

Started off with a Tamiya Super Champ, which was was a brick with wheels. Moved to a Grass Hopper, then the Hornet. It got serious then and the Associated RC10's hit the market. I must have had 10 RC cars for every situation. The GF was a much better driver for road racing and she dominate the local club races. That was just the 1/10th scales. We went to a 1/4 scare race one time and THAT was some excitement. Never got into them though, couldn't afford that. Man...this makes me want to get another one now. For years I've been telling myself no, it's a want, not a need. Although now, I have a means to make a track on my own property.

So what did you get???

I started with the Hornet also. Christmas 1985 I think it was. Best Christmas present I ever received. Thing was quick back then. Now you have the gassers! Those things are so fast. I canโ€™t drive one properly.

Smoke on!

This is looking like a strong contender to get back into it. Really want to have some fun? Put some AR500 steel on it and try to plink it while someone drives it. Kind of like the golf ball picker upper guy at the driving range! roflmao roflmao
