Any one been on Fairfield lately? Wondering how the cold weather has affected the lake and the grass.

I've been wondering if the Tilapia have started to die off yet? I know the ones in my pond started to die about 3 weeks ago. Every cold spell a new batch floats to the top. That has always been my big question for Fairfield. What happens to that lake if we get a massive Tilapia die off all at once? I may head down there this weekend and check it out.

I know this is about a completely different lake. I couldn't help but think of Lake Bastrop when I saw this question about tilapia on Fairfield. I have never seen any tilapia on Bastrop and I have been going there for 12 years. I was at the discharge last weekend. There was a bunch of them along the banks. The water was at least 10 degrees warmer (69) there. Those suckers are survivors. Because they generate more hot water at Fayette, there are still some big tilapia there.
Good luck at Fairfield!
