Galveston Flagship
Texas City Inn (had once been a nice Holiday Inn in a previous life)
Any of the America's Best Value hotels would likely fit this category from my experience...

Little motel right off the highway in Van. The door had been kicked in and the frame was sloppily repaired and barely hanging on. The bed had been made but there was blood on the sheets, walls AND CEILING. There were dead bugs in the chair and some sketchy looking fellows walking around outside. I said nope and took my gal back to the truck. Went into the office to get my money back and the owner refused. I showed him all of the pictures I had already taken on my phone and told him they would be sent to the health inspector, local news and all over the internet if he didn't give me my money back. He tried switching me to another room over and over but he finally gave in when I said I am done and went to walk out. Didn't make it a half a mile before I got pulled over... expired inspection. Idiot me.

Drove on and stayed at one of the nicest Holiday Inn's I had ever seen somewhere around Tyler. Can't really remember but, the bar downstairs was really nice.

Enough of this idle chit-chat. This ain't no retirement home.

Dont think thats about the one yall are talking about but quality music....My worst was Royal Inn in George West, Tx. Went to work utility relief after hurricane Harvey. It was the closest thing with a roof and power that wasnt already full that they could find on short notice, and Im pretty sure this guy running the place only opened it for crews like us, fortunately it was only for a few days as we got to move closer to the coast as power started being restored to other areas.

Yep I stayed there for a fishing tournament, The trailer I stayed in had large hole in the bottom of the floor, I had a herd of cats come in and sleep in the bed with me one rainy night.

Glad they tore that dump down.

That was I now call Cedar Creek, Speeder Creek.....
