I have a 2000 Skeeter ZX202 DC that came with a custom cover. I plan on upgrading my Minn Kota Maxxum to an ulterra. The shaft length on the ulterra is longer and will result in the head of the motor hitting past the current extra reinforced spot. I get lots of results online for pre-made "custom" covers but doubt they account for the ulterra. Any suggestions on a shop that does actual custom covers?
Needs to be strong, durable, with a soft underside and UV/water resistant since I don't have a cover built yet.
Thanks for the help.

Action Seat Covers in Longview, Texas makes a great custom cover. I had one made for a 2002 Tr20 that was still in good working order after five years of use and direct sun light.

If the cover you have is still nice you could consider taking it to a local seamstress and having another reinforced spot sewn into it

Your Ulterra will mount differently than the Maxxum did. you will probably have to drill new holes and angle it differently. Also the Bottom will extend over the bow of the boat and has much more sharp edges than the head does. Take all that into consideration before buying a cover. For me, the padded area was at the bottom but I ended up using part of an old cover to make a slip on cover that went over the blade and mount to give me that double layer protection. With a DC, the head probably doesn't contact much of the cover depending on the angle it is mounted.

Thanks for the tips. I hadn't thought of either of those suggestions.

Not sure where you are located but Abilene Tarp can modify or custom build whatever you need. They have made tarps for every boat Ive owned. When tied tight they wont move or rub at highway speeds and are completely watertight. They are a father son operation that has been around close to 50 years. Good old honest guys. His name is Norman (325)676-8302

If the cover you have is still nice you could consider taking it to a local seamstress and having another reinforced spot sewn into it you can also DIY with some material and spray adhesive or contact cement. Contact cement holds better but you will probably get some bleed through depending on the thickness of the material.
