Mark your calendar for the 35th Annual KCKL 95.9 FM Big Bass Tournament at Cedar Creek Lake. Dates are March 24 and 25th. 1st Prize is $7,500 plus the chance to win a $45,000 RAM Lone Star Crew Cab Pickup with Hemi engine.
Add the 80 Hourly weigh-in cash prizes, overall Top 20 cash prizes, the Ladies and Youth Divisions and you have many chances to win.
Again this year we have the $1,000 Strike King Bonus Prize for the largest bass caught on a Strike King lure.
Weigh-in an even 3.00, 4.00 or 5.00 lb. bass and win a Dobyns rod.
And this year Dobyns adds a Bonus Prize of a $259 Champion Series Rod for the largest bass landed using any model of Dobyns rod!
Another Bonus this year is Youth Entry Fees are being paid by our presenting Sponsor - Elder Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & RAM of Athens if the Youth (under 16) is fishing with an Adult contestant in the Tournament. And Youth anglers are eligible for all Tournament prizes including 1st Place. In fact, a few years ago a Youth angler won the Tournament!
Don't catch a prize winning bass? Hang around after the 3:00 weigh-in Saturday and Sunday and you might win one of over $10,000 in Door Prizes from Academy Sports, Strike King Lures, Dobyns Rods, TH Marine (Hydrowaves, Loc-R-Bars, G-Force trolling motor handles, G Force trolling motor prop nuts and other TH Marine products) and more from additional sponsors.

Additionally, Gary Dobyns sent a Champion Series 734 (a $259.99 rod) to go to the angler that weighs in the largest bass caught on any model of Dobyns Rod!!! Thanks Gary. The Door Prize packages from TH Marine are expected this week and will include two Hydrowave H2 units, Loc-R-Bars, G- Force aluminum trolling motors nuts, G-Force Trolling motor handles and additional TH Marine products. Check back for more details. Another announcement is that Elder Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & RAM of Athens will be picking up the $10 Youth Entry Fees when a kid is entered at the same time as an adult contestant. Thanks to sight fisher for many years of arranging the vast array of Door Prizes for all the kids. He starts the summer before the Tournament and works on getting them shipped in right up to the Tournament. And with Presenting sponsor Elder Chryler Dodge Jeep RAM paying the Youth Entry Fees, why not bring the kids along?

The KCKL Tournament Staff will arrive at Log Cabin Park about 10:00 this morning to begin Registration at the Lake. Registration will be open until 10:00 PM Friday night. You can also register 5-7 AM Saturday and Sunday morning.
Temps are going to be in the 80s, the water is going to warm fast and this weekend's fishing should pick up strongly. Get out there!
