As it is every year, the last TTZ event will be Guadapalooza, held on Lake Travis the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This year that will be Saturday, November 18th, and it will be held at Pace Bend Park out on Tournament Point.
Guadapalooza is a five-fish guadalupe bass only tournament. The event will be held at Pace Bend Park on Lake Travis. We will be at Pace Bend Friday night the 17th for anybody who wants to register early and get signed up. You can launch from any location as long as you come over to PB for the send-off and livewell check.
Teams will be fishing from first safe light to noon, with a fish fry to follow. Please feel free to keep legal limits of any species of fish that you want to bring to the fish fry. (please no largemouth over 3 pounds for the fish fry, see below about this year's optional largemouth big bass side pot)
$40 entry fee, maximum of two persons per teams. Guadapalooza is open to all anglers.
Benefit for Benny Aylor Family
This year Guadapalooza will also have an optional Big Bass side pot and a BPS merchandise auction to help raise money for the Aylor family. As some of you may know, Benny Aylor a local angler from Round Rock passed away recently. Benny was beloved by many and his passing has brought on some difficult times for those who loved him most. Benny has a lot of friends and fishing club buddies in the community and they have reached out to TTZ to ask us to help out in a couple of ways.
His friends at Bass Pro Shops have stepped up and donated some merchandise to auction off at weigh in. All proceeds will go to the Aylor family, and we all thank BPS greatly for these kind donations. Please see the bottom of this post for a list of all the items that are being auctioned, and don't forget to bring extra cash to weigh in.
Additionally, this year Guadapalooza will have an optional Largemouth Big Bass side pot. This will be a $40 buy-in, 50% goes to the Aylor family and 50% will go to the Big Bass pot.
Again, this is optional, but it's for a great cause and we believe this will add an extra level of excitement to Guadapalooza. It seems like every year we hear stories about somebody catching a 7-pound largemouth. Well, this year you can bring that fish in and win some side pot money all while helping out the Aylor family.
