Yep, size matters!
I'm 6' and at one time weight a svelt 240# and although my 11' kayak could handle the weight it just always felt too small. I've owned a 10 footer as well, and if you carry the average gear a kayaker carries you are underboated. (new word)
I think any 12' kayak can handle anyone over 200#, but you have to consider the total weight of yourself and the gear.
That said, I'll never go back to any under 12' kayak but that's just me!
