A Torqueedo travel 1003. Not sure I like it. Awesome battery life but way too noisy. I need to get with Minn Kota and see how I can use my existing Terrova with Ipilot on the bow. I think I can just buy the controller but not sure.

The 1003 is very noisy and has "software" issues. Torqueedo brags about their Gernman engineering but I think this is why they lost the war.

The little boat won't sink and has no hull to fill with water. You will get wet. That said, I've been in real high wind and waves at the butterfly coves where I had to move all my gear to the front of the boat to keep it from turning turtle ( flipping over). I fished there in a north wind last year and the waves on the points there were like the Atlantic. The stripers and smallmouth were in shallow (10-15 feet) so I would troll in those huge waves. Really got dicey when I would hook a fish. This is how I lost the skeg off the bottom of this motor, when a big wave lifted me up and droped me on a big rock.

Texoma is a blast no matter what.

Definitely adds a new element to the experience, and you don't have to worry about your guests.
