The ten foot lifetime manta tandem was my first kayak. 500lb capacity
Stable, slow, catches wind. But I loved it and still own it

Very difficult to find them at the low prices sports authority was clearing them out 2014; but they are well worth the $450 they currently go for.

If your budget allows for a $150 more; the Perception Striker is what I'd look at

Would make a nice pond kayak where you won't carry a lot of gear, and have to maybe carry it a ways to get to the water.
I've got a 10' kayak I bought for my grand daughters about ten years ago that was just sitting around so I rigged it with a more comfortable high back seat, and anchor trolley, and a couple of rod holders and converted it into my pond kayak. It's light, easy to handle and get back into those ponds that my other fishing kayak is a chore to get to.
