Netting fish by yourself is not the way to go on single hooks. At some point you will get burned on this like I and everyone has in the past. Both hands should be on the rod while fighting the fish, not playing around with a net.

I never thought once about grabbing a net when I had a fish 4oz shy of 13 lbs last month. Treble hooks are another story. Some fish are worth risking a hook in the hand and I usually make that judgement call seconds before the fish is at boat.

Congrats again on the solo win last weekend. Winning 4 or 5 straight tournaments at Roberts is pretty serious.

So how do you get it in the boat? Are you saying nets are ok for treble hooks but not jigs?

Net goes over the back of the drivers seat with the handle facing forward over the drivers console. Easy to get to when you need it. I've had fish get wrapped up 3' down and still landed them with a net.
