Bigboi-It was one of the few places we could remove our gear, and get shelter from the sun. Yes, Signal Corp, but I was leading infantry troops in an Eng BN Duckingarrow-I say prayers for all our troops, we just sent a bunch more from the state. Hope your son is well, and if he needs anything, let me know, maybe I can asist. We always kept an eye open on the wall behind me in the first pic, for obvious reasons...

Those common carp look proportioned well. I think the other ones are related to the common carp and the eel lookin' thing is a Wels Cat. Wels cat get huge.....2 to 3 times the size of our biggest blue or flatheads.

Great pics. Thanks for everything you and your buds did for us and very glad you made it back safe. If you're ever in the Houston area and want to fish just give me a holler. Is that A Chronarch reel you had in that first pic?

Thanks for the offer Gator, maybe I'll take you up on that sometime. The rod and reel came from BPS. Daiwa Procaster Tournament Reel and Graphite Series Rod Combo We had several sent to us from family members etc... I brought that and my ugly stick back with me, but left tons of tackle and 4 or 5 other rods for our replacements, with directions on how and where to get the fish. It was part of our right seat / left seat ride Duckingarrow, hopefully he is keeping ya'll informed of his status. Send mail and care packages. The kids loved mail call, no matter if it was a letter or someone recieveing a package of goodies. It brought a piece of home to us. We could not have down what we did without support from everyone stateside. But thats a whole other topic...

Treebass- He calls home pretty often. He has already received care packages from home and will be receiving more. I sent him a "How to Bass Fishing Book, and hand held bass fishing game along with some other items.
Bullet- As you may know it was August when my son deployed. I will keep your son in my prayers. Tell him I said thanks and God Bless.

Great pictures! Glad to see that you're back safe and sound. Mac "went over the hump" recently but I'm sure that you knew that. I hear from him fairly often. I'm not sure if he's anywhere near water. I haven't had a request yet to send gear, just gummy bears and snack food!
Again, I'm glad that you're home. Take a dependant fishing (hint, hint) Thank you for your service.

JJOC, talked to a couple of the kids from the facility yesterday, from what I'm getting, they are busy getting everything set up. They are a several hours north of any major water sources. Besides, can you imagine, Mac and Carp??? He would never admit it Still waiting on "little Mac" to drop me a line Coach, thanks, but I was brought up to leave things better than I found them. We tried, everything I had shipped or ordered, I left behind for them. You get in the habit of passing stuff off to your replacements, cause if and when you return, you hope the same courtesy will be there I even left some golf clubs and a net behind to one of my golfing foursome. It relieves some of the stress. Golfsmith ships as well

Not many left at the facilty! I need to get down there, have to pick up some papers and drop off a cell phone.
Yesterday was our anniversary and I got an email from Mac saying that he was going "on a little trip" and he would call me this morning....no call and no email...was about to really get worried but just got an email. He's safe and sound. WHEW!
Who's Lil Mac? If I knew I'd spur them on for ya!

Happy Anniversary, shoot me an e-mail. You can't get wrapped up when he does not call or e-mail. Things happen over there all the time. No phones, internet down etc... I used to call once a week when I could, and the same with e-mail, never setting a pattern. I did'nt want the family to worry if for some reason I did'nt call at a certain time or got delayed....
