Did good today. Still alot of fish in the 8-12ft range. The males are up shallow and bunched together big time. Caught 48 today. Had 14 keepers. Tons of fish 97/8". I bet we had 20 fish that were literally 1/16" too short. Oh well that's the way things worked out today. It was a great day to be on the water. Most fish caught on Bobby Garland shad in Blue Thunder. Some on chartreuse, white, and elec. chicken. But Blue thunder really seemed to be the ticket. 1/8oz Unpainted head. 3-4'. Chasing stripers tomorrow on tawakoni. Hopefully they cooperate.

Cooter and I had the same problem. We had 51 and only 11 keepers. We also had a LOT of fish just shy of 10" we released. Strange thing, where you were obviously into blacks, we caught nothing but whites.

It sounds like a great day to me. You had a ton of fun catching and ended up with plenty to keep crappie on the table until the next trip. And if you run short that is a perfect excuse for another trip.
