Mariner Sails Kayaks and the White Rock Boat Club will be Hosting our BIG Kayak Demo Day on April 19th at the White Rock Sailing Club from 10am til 4pm. We'll have LOTS of kayaks to demo and we'll have ambassadors representing Hobie, Wilderness Systems and Legacy Paddlesports among others....don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to try lots of kayaks at one location - at one time. So come dressed to get in the boats and have some fun!

Hey, I was thinking about coming to this, but I wanted to see if there were going to be any Kayaks in my price range. I can really only spend about 700-750 Max, but am willing to buy new/used/previous demos...

I don't want to come out and fall in love with a Kayak that I cant afford!

Thanks!

You should make it and see what all they have, they should have a couple that fit your budget.

Armed with the knowledge that someone has an interest in yaks in that price range I bet we'll have something for you to try! breakdance

Sounds good to me! I'm going to plan on being there. I've never fished out of a kayak, so would it be weird to being a rod and reel to see what casting and retrieving would be like?

Not weird at all. I would recommend something rigged weedless however. Treble hooks make more room for issues.

you could always just tie a weight on without a hook just to get a feel for casting

They'll have something. Also, the staff and pro team are extremely knowledgeable and you can learn a ton from them. If you're new to the sport this is absolutely worth your time. If nothing else, you can meet some buddies to fish with once you get one. thumb

Thank you, hoping my schedule works out as I would like to make it. Weather seems good as of now also.

Dangit! This would be on a weekend I have to work from 7-5. Just long enough to miss it all! I've really been wanting to test paddle some different yaks too. Oh well maybe next time!

We'll be doing it all over again at the GTG on May 10! The GTG is also going to be a fundraiser for the DFW chapter of Heros on the Water so you can have some fun and do some good too!

BTW - for those of you jonesing for a fishing tournament........keep and eye out for the upcoming thread on the
GTG - Multi-Species Kayak Fishing Tournament.......It will be a week long CPR with the weigh-in at the GTG......We've almost got all the details ready for release! hooked

Does mariner stock the ride 115x or does it have to be special order?
