Welcome to the forum, remember don't embellish any stories here. These are fishermen with digital scales and have never been skunked, and always win more then we spend. Now if it really happened almost the way you tell it report it. thumb

This story reminds me of, "The boy who cried Wolf".

It bit my leg and arm off! Oh wait maybe it just looked at my arm & leg?

Hey Bro, can you post a pic of those scraped up Jordan's?

After you hug your coach, go and slap you English teacher, and tell her she did not do her job. Do you realize how hard it is to read a post without proper capitalization, spelling, and punctuation?

That gator should have been dinner. Then you could have had your Jordan's covered in alligator skin that you got from the charging gator that ate your leg and 1 thumb.

Reminds me of the time I was out fishing on an oil rig in the Gulf and pulled up a big ol fish probly weighed 1000 lbs. Strange thing was he had hair all over and when I got him on deck he broke the line, ran off a ways and then climbed to top of the rig. I'll be danged if I was going to let him go, so I climbed up after him and just as I was getting ready to grab the creature, it flew off. Curses. I probably would have caught him if I would have played basketball in HS.

I would think if there were problem gators, the park staff would have addressed this already. From the webpage:

"Activities at the Sheldon State Park and Environmental Learning Center include group programming, birding, wildlife/nature study, hiking, and fishing for children. The park (open Monday - Sunday) includes a 0.5-mile self-guided nature trail that passes 28 naturalized ponds that contain alligators and other wildlife. (Binoculars are recommended for best viewing.) Free catch-and-release family fishing is permitted for children accompanied by adults, in the two fishing ponds."
