Thanks for all the support, guys! If you have visited my website below, you know Jos and I are passionate about bowfin. We educate as many people as we can to how amazing they are, and how much fun they are to catch. We certainly enjoy fishing for big cats and hybrids, too, and even get a kick out of spending a few hours filling a cooler with white bass, crappie or bluegill now and then. However, when anyone asks us about fishing, bowfin angling takes center stage. We have converted many others to this addiction. Our next quest is to figure out how to target gar successfully.

Thanks, again, for your support!

I feel your pain. The complete lack of respect for fish that were here long before Florida largemouth were INTRODUCED is appalling. Most of it just plain ignorance. Their grand pappy told them to throw em on the bank for the buzzards cuz they eat game fish or game fish eggs.

Bowfishing sucks

Very sad. I would put aside many things to go catch small gar and bowfin. Just seeing them laying dead there makes me angry. I see the same thing in Decker Lake. No respect for the animal.

Fishing is fun and adictive, but always stay safe. Happy Fishing!
