Got out from 2:15 to 3:45 PM. Water temp was 60 degrees. Checked out 3 spots: Saint Annes Points West and East and East Hump. No fish at 1st two spots, but East Hump was covered in depths from 23 to 28 fow within 4 feet of the bottom. Started working spot with a Mepps #4 at 2:30 and by 3:30 had 40 whites and a short hybrid - getting a fish on all but a couple of casts. Before leaving I tried in deeper water around the hump edges to see if I could pick up a hybrid, but only caught more whites there.

Cloudy and cool today but a lot of boats - LMB boats and White bass/hybrid boats - on the lake.

Great report. It is good to hear that the middle of the day continues to produce fish.

Glad you found them. Saw lots of boats even though it was chilly.

Read the story at the link in his signature. It is a spinner bait.

Welcome to the forum, Randall! Here's a map of CC fishing spots. East Hump is spot "W".

Thanks. That will be a very helpful map. Is there a good place to launch a boat on the south side of the lake?

Yes. Log Cabin has a good ramp. Also, the public ramp on the north end of Caney Creek bridge on Hwy 198 is usable at current lake level.

BigDad, just trying to help the working folk who can only get out on weekends every so often. I used to be one and always looked for tips and intel for when I could get out on the lake.

Oh, forgot to mention I got out today from 2:15 to 4 PM. Checked Long Ridge, Key Ranch Drop-off, Key Ranch North, Merimac Point, Kevin's Point, Caroyn Estates Point and Pole Dance Point and found no concentrations. Checked Mid-lake Hump and caught a limit of whites and 2 yellows in 45 minutes. Left them biting. Water temp was 59.5 degrees. All caught on #4 Mepps in 23 fow.
