Awesome video! I really liked the longer, documentary type format, along the lines of the mountaineering/expeditionary kayaker type films. And way to go on ending with a conservation message. Just another of your adventures I am living vicariously!

I know it's lifted right now, my dad was burning yesterday out there. Possibly could have been a burn ban when Bobby's expedition was out there. Robert mentioned it was lifted, but I doubt he would honestly have known

I would bet the operator of the shuttle service and outfitter would have known. He said it was lifted two weeks previous and I am guessing that info came from the local guy there.

Puddler, I have no idea if the burn ban is still lifted or if it has been reinstated. You could look up Darren Carr with Amistad Expeditions, he was our outfitter and can tell you. He's a really great guy and I'd highly recommend him for this trip.


Thanks for all the kind words everyone. The encouragement and support I get from everyone is a big reason why I put so much time into these, so it really does mean a lot. Thanks for taking 37 minutes out of your day to watch it... that is asking a lot and I've been blown away by the number of people who have watched it so far. Very humbling and makes the MANY hours that went into it all worth it.

For you that asked, my next video will be from our paddlefish trip and I will begin working on that one tonight. Starting in a few weeks I'll start heading to the coast a lot, so you can probably expect a few saltwater videos after that one. Gotta keep it fresh.

Robert, I truly believe you will be on a show or have your own show one of these days. You are blessed with a knack of editing, narrating and creating entertaining yet educational videos. This latest Devil's River video was superb. I felt like I was watching a TV show. You do a great job of keeping your audience engaged, not only with fishing footage but with snippets of adventure, nature, conservation and camping.

Loved the part of about the feces. Well...didn't love it exactly, but enjoyed that commentary. This is exactly what I mean by keeping your audience engaged.

Bet it felt great to get home and take a hot shower!
