After watching this and having not yet launch my yak until Good Friday next week, I am more excited to become part of the kayaking community. I will only home to find some good friends to go out and do things like this. Now I need to get my hands on a Go-Pro.!! Nice video!!

I'm not normally into the videos. Even when it's fishing, my ADD makes it hard to sit still through them. You had me hooked from start to finish on this one! I was hoping for some death metal or at least some heavy metal, though. It IS the Devil's River, afterall You have my vote for best VOY!

Robert, I agree with all other's comments here and on your facebook page - this was truly the best footage on fishing The Devils vs. all the others I've watched - and I've watched a bunch of them because I want to do this trip so bad!! Heck I watched your video three times, on three different devices! You provided so many insights, from gear to tackle, to techniques along with good information and you added drama and comedy to boot!. If you were to make this trip again, or another one similar, what would you do different? Was there anything you would take or leave behind or change up (i.e. tool or repair kits, shorter trip, different time of year, exlax!!)? You mentioned how cold you got that one night - wonder what gear you could have packed to offset that? Anyhow, just wondering your thoughts there. Was interesting to see the toll 5 days in nature takes on us city folk. We do a 5 day camping/trout fishing trip in Colorado every year. There is a difference in the excitement and jubilation on day 1 and by day 5 you would pay big bucks for the cheapest motel room as long as it had a hot shower! Anyhow, looking forward to the next one.

Outstanding job on your video dude. I set and watched the whole video and enjoyed every minute. I can now say, I'm not sure I want to do that run down devils river. It was at the top of my bucket list and has now moved down to 5 th place. Lol. Thanks again for sharing your trip.

I still hope to make it there some day, but not with my own kayak!
