I went to the bike trail to check it out this afternoon no luck. Saw a few people with only one or two fish on their string. Water is too low

I went for a couple hours after work. Got one 13"er and missed 3 or 4 others. Saw a guy with 4 on his stringer and a couple guys had 3 or 4 each. I was just north of 66.

If you park on the side road next to the bridge off of centerville, does the tires of one side of your car have to touch the pavement and the other side can be on the dirt/grass or you'll be ticket? Someone once told me that. Just concerned about the alignment of the car.

Park about 3 feet completely off the road in the grass and you'll be fine. At 66 park on the north side Unless you have a truck with big tires or the like because there is a pretty good drop off the pavement on the south side which could mess up a vehicle with low clearance.

I don't think it's too low. I've watched a lot of fish swim over that pipe with the water at that level before. There's been a lot of water in the creek over the past week, so I'd bet they are all over it now. It's probably just now getting nice and clear. Just got to find the right holes with the right bait.

+1

They only way to know is to get out there...Other people's stringers is in no way a gauge to how the fishing is...

first, I would love to see if they fly or jump over about a foot of waterfall from that metal pipe now. They may swim pass that while the water was high. I can only report what I think or saw.
Second, I do go out to fish and try different spot, take picture, and share information with other so other use the information to make better plan where to go fishing and not waste their time.

I watched them perform some salmon like feats last year. There's usually some kind of debris against the pipe making the water flow just a tad bit higher in a spot or two, and they'll take advantage of it.

Report from the Rowlett Creek bike trail:

Fished from 11 to 12 this morning and caught only 2 keepers with Lil' Fishie. Water was relatively low compare to the previous years around this time. We need a lot more rain or the run is over. Perhaps, the run is pretty much over.
cry

Wind from the north, fisherman does not go forth.
Wind from the south, blows the bait in the fish's mouth.
Wind from the east, the fish bite least.
Wind from the west, the fish bite best.
