Idiocracy.....a new form of gov't on Fork.
Are the positions in this new administration going to be appointed or elected? I know some that may never lose their seat if they get elected!

Not saying it right but thats what you get when you fish any bridge any lake the other big complaint is hey the guy about swamp my boat when he came off pad, being that you had kids with you I am sure it was a little up setting. but being a weekend theres no way I would fish with a kid near a boat lane. That what you get when you fish any bridge? Really No they broke the law and endangered others. I have a go pro and will record it and get the TX number and the show it to the game warden who then will them a ticket because it's on video.

What you get for fishing a bridge. Please! In no way was I even close to the path of travel. The fact is and remains there. You have to idle under the bridges. You can't run on pad there. Plan and simple! It is even posted on the bridges on Fork.

Once again, you're on the most popular bass lake in the spring. Run him down next time and tell him personally. It probably does more good than goin on a rant here

. . .and of course, no one is aware that the state can't legally enforce those no wake signs, because it ISN'T a law. It's a resolution. Look it up.
I'm not saying it was right, everyone should go no wake thru a bridge, but the reason the GWs avoid those areas is because those tickets get thrown out of court almost every time. It puts them in a bad position. If the state would just make it a standard law, no wake thru all bridges or posted areas, it would help.

I didn't say it was a rant from getting cut off. At least I don't see where I said that.My post must have been confusing somehow and I apologize if it is.. It's a rant about an idiot on the busiest bass lake in the spring. I just don't see how it's so suprising.

its not just on fork.. i fish martin creek most of the time... i see guys full plane going under those tiny bridges and can't see ANYTHING on the other side... i am not taking the responsibility away from the boater that goes full plane 50+ mph under a bridge not knowing who or what is on the other side... but i never idle past those bridges anymore and come at them straight on ... I've almost seen several little crappie metal boats get T boned at these bridges multiple times.... you can tell its these guys that get out once a month 7 times a year... then can't back their trailer at the ramp or load their boat... but hey ... i won't get hit and then say its their fault.... one bridge even has a very shallow underwater bridge with a boat lane going perpendicular to it.... and the bow hunters go full on plane across that ... let the lake level fall and then bye bye lower units... its basically like having a major 4 way intersection on a highway with no stop signs.. and you can't see if someone is coming.. so you just close your eyes as you blow through the intersection... insane to me... there are monsters out there on fork .. but i will stick to my smaller lakes away from all that busy weekend out of town boat traffic on FORK its just not worth it to me...not this time of year..

I know you didn't say that, but I couldn't help but think about all the other threads where people are talking about telling the person then and there (which those posts are about cutting one off from "their" spot) rather than posting about it. When it comes to safety, you need to warn others about the idiots. It might just save a life. I hope you didn't take my post "at" you personally. We all know how busy Fork is, but if you kill someone it's then too late.

growing up there were 2 deaths because people did not follow the rules and did not idle when they were suppose to and ran over people.

And, it may not be a law statewide. But, it is where posted and it is posted there. Tell that to the 100's that have gotten tickets for it.

If it's posted they can ticket you. And if its not and there's boats tied , and the wake does damage or injury to someone the boater who caused the wake can be ticketed and held responsible for wake damage. Thats how it was explained to me by TPWD in Austin.
