Prayers for strength and healing!! Stressful jobs are often the cause of many ailments. Do whatever it takes to get away from there. You are in our thoughts and prayers, hoping you find something soon. "thump"

I pray that God will help you find a good job. I understand this issue well. When I sold my company back in 2010, I had been working every waking hour and it had me just about dead. Took me about a year to get my health back.
Money ain't worth it. Never saw a brinks truck follow a funeral procession in my life.

To PK,
AMEN! I have 9 years left before I can retire early (just under 30 years...will have 20 years in May) and basically told them that if I can't get into management and out of this horrid schedule, I will look for something else, though something tells me to 'stick it out' and keep the retirement, then do something else at 56. Thing is, I'm not sure I can go another 9 years on this schedule.
But fully believe what you said. Money isn't the end all to things. Health, family, and happiness ARE!

What a timely thread. I walked away from my job 3 months ago. I loved working with my clients but the company was truly clueless. Going to work became a real chore and my entire attitude changed. Got away from that place and I feel so much better now. No job is worth your health and sanity. Best wishes to you in your next endeavor. Quality of life is more important than anything.
Regards, Reggie

They are completely aware of what is going on. They also know I could retire on what they would have to pay me in a law suit. With that said, I am not the type to bring a suit against someone. It has crossed my mind but I firmly believe you reap what you sew. I have tried to transfer but you have to have aircraft specific skills to move. I just need out of there. It seems crazy they would know they had such a liability and not resolve it. Eventually they will be sued and it will cost them dearly. An agency I worked for several years ago had such a problem. A supervisor did not like women nor minorities. So he made it hard on them. One person became fed up, found another job, then sued the agency. They paid him over $3 mil to settle the lawsuit and transferred the person that was causing the problem to a position that had no authority over anybody. They ended up paying three of the people involved for this one person's action. So it can become quite expensive when a company ignores such a situation. I wish you the best in finding another position. I would not stay there myself. The problem is that most good paying jobs require a lot of hours and have stress associated with them. So you are wise in being willing to accept a lower paying job that does not have as much stress if stress causes you health problems. In the long run your health is the most important thing you can have.

Hey guys, thanks for all of your prayers and advice. After long deliberation my wife and I have decided that it would be in our best interest to move forward with legal action. I have given my work more than ample opportunity to make good and they have not taken the high road once. My question to you all is, do any of you know a lawyer that would deal in these labor and employment matters that you would recommend? Word of mouth is so much better than the yellow pages.
Thanks to all!
