Anything happening with the crappie anywhere around abilene yet??

Not yet. I have been out on Phantom a couple of times in the past week and don't have anything to show for it yet. Will probably hit it today or tomorrow or maybe both.

At phantom right now. Lots of fish showing up in 8ft but suspended about 4-5. They have lockjaw. Any suggestions

try minnows, might need to just leave it there and relax. I used a very bright jig to get them to bite when I recently went to phantom.

Got skunked. It was a nice day though. I guess I will try again tomorrow

I think the water is still a little too cool for them to be moving shallow. I was out a Phantom last Saturday running some jugs, and saw some people pulling a decent number out of brush in about 14ft of water.

Getting ready to leave work and go fish it.

I'v been checking every other day still no decent shallow water bite, will put more time in this weekend.

i went out late last night on Thursday I got out of work at 12 got out to the lake about 1:30 fished until 5am it was really nice out but I started to feel that cold front and thought it was time. The fish were really shallow but it took time to catch them so I don't think its in full swing. it was about 5ft of water off the rocks next to the dock on the honey hole. I caught a total of 6 and lost 2 I used minnows and jigs but only caught one on a jig.

Any action at the Honey Hole? Planning on going tomorrow morning, but it's supposed to be pretty windy out.

My suggestion would be to wait for a less windy day. The fishing has been tough. They are still staging and haven't moved up yet but those 90 degree days will sure help. If you do go be safe and wear a life jacket!

Going to try it anyway, if I wait for a less windy day and a day off work I'll never get to fish...any tips for battling the wind and landing some fish?

I hit Oak Creek, got a limit of fish.
