Where have they been all my life?..... ....been missing too many fish the last few weeks. Figured maybe I would try a new hook as well the past 2 days. Needless to say about 25-30 fish later with about 95% of them hooked in top of mouth I am sold. Not a single lost fish either despite some thibk cover. From blind casting to bed fishing they have been excellent. Stayed sharp and no flex either. Will be stocking up on a few sizes. used the 4/0 heavier ones and have been impressed big time.

Guess it's my turn to try them then. I've been using gammy hooks for a good while 4/0 offset round hooks and I've recently started the swing and a miss with the best of them including quite a few I've had 5-6 cranks on pulling him in and "poof" he's gone.

It really helped me. I like the Trokars and other straight shanks in heavy cover but theese worked in all around type fishing.

Thats all i have pretty much ever used post pond days anyway lol and absolutley love them, sharpest hook maybe of any hook, but did buy 2/0 by mistake and set the hook on a Sal had her on for bout 2 seconds before the hook bent and came outta her mouth felt like i set hook in a stump till i felt the pull back..man what a tear jerker

Only hook I've used for the last 4 years after having another brand straitened out on me when a big fish surged one last time by the boat. They are great hooks! The treble hooks are great too.

Fish Killer got me on the straight shank hooks a couple of years ago, straight shank owners and trokkars are all I will tie on anymore for most applications.

I use owner about 98 percent of the time, have not tried too many straight shank, never have a problem with the off set.

Owner and Trokar only for me.

I have been using owner about 5 years now, I used another hook last friday just to test it (not naming brand)
two fish came unbuttoned in about 10 minutes, changed right back to the owner, did not lose another fish that afternoon.

do y'all use straight shanks on all soft plastics (i.e. brush hogs, craws, etc.) or just worms?

Ive used Owners for over 10yrs and never a problem

Owner makes a great hook. But Trokar is tops for me.
