Lake of the pines is fishing good and so is Monticello. Neither is that far from Winnsboro.

Well I guess we are going to go see the circus on saturday. My fishing partner is dead set on Fork for some reason. So looks like that is where we are going to go. Tried to talk him out of it but I am just along for the ride. Guess everyone will have to make room for one more boat and 2 more idiots.

1,800 entries and no off-limits for the Sunday event means it will be a ZOO on Saturday as well. I love to sight fish. But I can't go during the week very often so don't start hitting Fork in earnest until May.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

What is the mega bass entry fee, $150/ boat or $150/ person?

We have a place on Fork and we are not going out this weekend. Its going to be wall to wall boats. Winnsboro is slow right now but you have good choices within 30 minutes of Winnsboro. Bob Sadlin, Cypress Springs, Monticello are super close to you. Quitman is really hot on crappie right now. You might even consider Lake Tawakoni. Cooper is within an hour. Last weekend we didn't find any bed fish on Fork. Talked to several people and the bite had really slowed down this last week. We were catching several good fish every day and then it slowed really down and we went to catching one or two a day. Good Luck!!
