Had two minor hang-ups yesterday. Went to pop it off and the line broke both times. Re-tied another trap but befor casting this one I gave the main line a firm tug and #@#@#@# it broke again! I know the Palomar knot was not the problem. Had to replentish my "traps". Got my money back ont the line. Put Seagur 17 fluro back on the reel.Just a bad batch i guess.

I want say anything bad about anyone's product. To me it is just 15 lb. test any line. I can't even drag a bass out of a pond over the scum and onto the the bank without it breaking unless I retie after every fish caught. for me 17 lb. test line is where it all begins with a world of difference.

Thanks Donald--The reason I put it on was because of a discussion I had with a very well known guide on Fork. "all he ever uses is 15 for fast moving baits and 20 for slow moving baits"

I ll put 15 Pliner cXx up against any other 15. You can pull a bull thew a knot hole with it. I caught a 40# blue cat at night with no dip net with 12 cXx and lot of big bass out of heavy cover with it. Also I never use a leader on C rig . I just slide my weight up and pinch a small split shot under it. wouldn't dare do that with any other line.

Try McCoys Mean Green instead of Big Game. A line that is really strong is P Line CXX but it does have memory issues you have to deal with, but for shear strength, it is awesome. McCoys is a good blend of strength and not much memory.

I use Silver Thread AN 40, it use to be Bagley's AN 40, have never had a problem with it. I have the 14lb on my jig rod, 20 lb on my flip stick and 12 lb on Top waters, crankbait ( sometimes 10 )

Sounds like you just got some old line. I've been abusive to Big Game through the years and it's always been strong...no problems.

I use 15Ib big game and can't break it. (Must be weak) lol. No problems with it on my end, but I probably wouldn't use it so soon after an experience like that one!

McCoy M/G is my second pick followed by Big Game the memory issue with Pline works it self out with a stretch and has never stoped me using it . I've used it for at least 20years

I think I just got a bad 900 yard spool. I bought it about a month ago and I keep it in the house so it easn't abused by any means.
