Is it possible that my Wife could have caught a hybrid striper on HCL? I looked at the Texas Lake Finder and it says that white bass are in HCL. It also does not mention that TPWD has ever actually stocked white bass. I am no expert but I could swear that what my Wife caught today was a hybrid. If it wasn't, it was the biggest white bass I have ever seen. I was so confident that it was a hybrid that I let it go without taking a picture.

Never say never but someone might have released a hybrid. While not known as a white bass lake the creek that feeds HC Lake is a tributary of the Trinity and evidently trapped some when it was impounded. When I started fishing it 25+ years ago sandies weren't rare.
