I'm taking a break from cleaning right now and to sharpen my knife. I hooked into a bunch of females full of eggs. Got a few 16 inchers. I'm measuring and weighing them as I clean them. One was 16.5" and 1.95 lbs. I'll call that 2lbs. smile

Nice fish HeavyLead. What setup did you use to catch these fatties? White Fluke jr + pink jig head + bobber? I'll be heading out in an hour, hope to catch a few.

No! Fluke Jr. is probably too big. I was using the albino colored (these are clear-ish) Zoom tiny fluke. I found the albino tiny flukes at Bass Pro in Garland. They are hard to find, but they are on the bottom row with the other Zoom flukes. The Garland Academy didn't have any tiny flukes. 1/16 oz pink jig head with white eyes and black pupils is what I'm using, but I'd guess anything close to that would work. I found a slow presentation to work the best. I spent quite a bit of time figuring that out. Once I did, the fishing was really on.

Also using 4lb test, and the experts say that's going to get more strikes. I don't have enough data myself to say one way or another, but I'm catching fish, so I'm not going to argue. I did have a big one snap my line as I was pulling him in, so I had to be careful with the drag and getting them out of the water.

Just got back. Was out in a kayak. Lots and lots of people between Miller and the mouth. I'd say over 100 because I counted 25 in one spot. Only caught a few but saw others catching too. Had fun. Ready to really get into them.

Look up " Aquaponics! The self sustained revolution." on Face Book and like the page to learn how to use fish to grow anything at 4 times the rate with 90% less water than normal agriculture while eliminating all chemicals and producing fertilizer for in ground plants.

The most I've seen was 25 on that whole stretch last week.

Lot of people fishing today, saw quiet a few people with big fish on their stringers. Everyone caught a fish, but the ones who caught the most (10+) we're using the albino tiny fluke that heavylead mentioned. It's a good 40 minute walk from miller ( the side where construction is happening right now)

parked on that little patch of grass...

Good to know. Thanks for posting that. I wonder if the local homeowners were complaining. If they can ticket and tow for parking on that patch of grass, it doesn't look so good for the patch of grass on the north side of Miller. I hope they don't start towing there.

Ok....now I'm totally confused. Where are you talking about parking on Rowlett road reel pro? Cause I don't know of any houses on it where a cop would come out of anywhere close to the creek? You don't mean Firewheel I don't think. Seems like the GPD goes down there about once a year and just messes with people for a day and that's it.Lord knows they don't write citations most of the time there. Are you talking about Rowlett road down where the old Marina Del Ray was I bet? That would make sense. Those snooty homeowners would never put up with us trashy fishermen parking our old trucks there would they. And I bet the RPD would be slobbering to write tickets and tow cars there. I don't think they'll ticket you at Miller unless they put up a sign. GPD isn't that hardcore.

this is where i parked and the cop came out of this back door i think

Scratched out 15 yesterday in about an hour an a half, headed out tonight with a buddy to try and catch some of the fat ones you guys are on! I think the smallest here was 11.75" an the biggest 11.76", it's like catching the same fish over and over

There are no fish in sonic pond EDIT: Except 1 20lb catfish
