After I dropped my son off at school I decided to hit the lake from the bank. The lakes nearly 9' low and boat launch is questionable. Saw fish boiling and pushing shad on the bank. Threw a kvd 1.5 for a while then stuck this big eyed mama! The reason I'm mad is because I left my bag 100 yards down the bank so didn't get to measure or anything. Honestly I figured I would catch some small fish. The pictures don't do it justice but I've caught several over 5 this year and quite a few 6-8 so far. I don't even take pictures with fish under 5 anymore.My pb is 9.7 and this fish wasn't far off. I'll say 6 because I didn't have a scale and I'm content with it, but It wasn't any smaller no doubt!! I snapped a couple pics and she kicked off. My arm was over extend and phone held back. I wanted to video but my phone memory was low so here's all I got.

Nice fish!!! but expect all of these guys to run their mouth about how you should have taken better care of that fish and not layed it on the bank!!! LOL it happens every time!!

Don't hurt my feelings haha.. Like the boat carpet,weigh in bags, and flipping them in the boat at 100mph dosn't hurt them haha. if it helps the p.e.t.a bass fisherman she was out of the water maybe 30 seconds tops. I should have taken her home and ate it .

It looks in the 4-6 pound range to me but pictures by yourself don't do a lot of justice. Definitely a really nice fish especially from the bank

Oh I know and thanks for the compliment! I already have ol Bisset up here guessing the weight haha. 4-6lbs Is a big difference and this fish pulled about 15 yards of drag on me. But that's why my post reads mad/happy. I shouldn't have left the bag but things like this happen when you're least expecting them.

Man Rob what a rookie mistake not bringing the scale.... I have seen some 9lb fish that look pretty small in pics like the ones u took so who knows what it weighed

dude trust me I almost didn't even take pictures! I was so ticked but just didn't figure it would happen. I haven't been this excited over a fish in a while. Now I'm regretting even wasting time since I pulled a rookie move.
