Best time to go is at night. I catch a ton of dinks, but quite a few keepers as well.

Update! The bite has been spotty at best. Bunch of small ones at night. Morning some good some bad. Same with the evening bite. Last night was good for a few guys. A buddy was fishing off the point he got a few nice crappie some sandbass. And the 1ST hybrid of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not saying they are in but maybe still have chance of them showing up.

He got most of them on minnows. I think 3 on jigs. The hybrid was on a minnow. Out off the north east point. 345am or so.

When you call the barge be sure to ask questions as ARE THE FISH biting ARE THE FISH 10" or better Or you will get the fishing is good. Well fishing is good anytime of the day. But the catching is what you want to know about and the numbers of the fish that is put on a stringer and the size.
Yes I know the guys at the barge and if you don't ask the ??? then you get the Fishing is good.
Catching just might not be that good.
