I called about an hour and a half ago and asked the right questions I guess. It's slow out there. Obviously the weather cooled the water but it is heating up tomorrow and on. I've got the itch, though, and might find myself there tonight anyway.

Probably not going to be back in Lewisville anytime soon, but I was wondering if they reopened the kitchen...

That's a really cool story. I've fished there before and will do so again someday.

Thanks for posting that story. When my Dad was alive we'd regularly pull all nighters at the barge. Those were some great memories. As I got into high school and there after my buddies and I would hit it up as often as possible.
I have great memories of that place.

Well, just woke up from my 'stayed up all night to fish' recovery nap. ![smile smile](/forums/images/graemlins/default/smile.gif) I was at the barge from 10:30-6:30 and had a great time. I got to meet DentonPondJumper and BigMike and wet my line next to some dudes that were actually catching fish... I only caught 1 9 inch crappie and lost two with late hook sets. I'm such a crappie newb! The guys next to me were catching fish every now and then with some nice slabs being had here and there. Best fish of the night was a 1.72 lb slab caught off of the front of the barge. I hope I get a chance to go back soon because things look to be heating up this week.

Good read, I hope the owner is issued a build permit so the tradition can continue.
I would rather die finding out there was no God than die finding out there is.
