coach you think I fabricated the website?? Come on sir... I grew up in minnesota, left it for the Army and never went home. I could not count the amount of time I have spent on the ice! Its a lot of fun. I love bringing people up there that have never been and letting them hear the ice crack while the are fishing..... You see some pretty tough people change their draws! Sir I recccomend you surf the site, you may find yourself wanting to catch one of those yourself!

That is a good sized lake trout. The pic looks kinda fishy to me, and I don't think that you could realistically catch a 20lb lake trout on a 4lb test. Just my .02. And yes, I lived in Utah for 5yrs going to college, and I have experience in the Ice fishing category.

I guess I have to click on it again cause I did not see it say 20#. But I WILL tell you this for a fact.. I have pulled some pretty good northerns out on a pole like that...not 20# but I would say they were prolly 10#. And if you want validity I emailed them to see if we could get that show here and they told me to get satalite tv... Man, Ill ask my old man if he sees that show on tv to verify!

I iced fished for many years when I lived in MN, WS, and MI, and there's plenty of ice fishing in the mountains of UT, and CO, where I also lived.

Yes, fish that size of multiple species are caught while ice fishing. A light drag and lots of line helps. Trout, Pike, Musky, etc, are all caught through the ice, sometimes that big. I saw some people who had to widen their whole because the Northern Pike they had one wouldn't fit through it lol.

I think the photo is real he just did a good job of taking it. notice how you can just barely see part of the arm he is holding it with that is because it is extended all the way out so the fish looks bigger being closer to the camera
